[Suspicion]

-----There’s a phrase from your lyrics ‘suspicion’. So, have you ever seen things differently as you changed?
YH: The moment I became the leader, everything changed. Before that, I’ve always thought that my opinions are always right, but recently, I’ll first listen carefully to everyone’s opinion before making a decision. Especially since everyone has their own bias or when it’s about someone else; I’ll first listen to people’s opinions before making a decision

----Even if everyone says ‘it isn’t a good (idea)’, will you still listen carefully to them?

YH: I will. I’ll say ‘let’s listen to his idea first’. I only started being like this after becoming the leader

[Becoming stronger]

----Next, there’s a line in your lyrics that goes ‘becoming stronger’. Are there times when you unknowingly succumb to temptation?
YH: I was injured recently (T/N: Injury during the Seoul Encore last year), and the doctors and staffs around me said ‘Please be careful when dancing’ ‘Please don’t do any vigorous movement/exercise’, but I couldn’t stand the temptation of the stage. And as expected, danced my heart out on stage. *laughs* I got really high looking at the audience and fans, and I ended up dancing vigorously.

[Advice to myself]

----Also, there’s this phrase ‘advice to myself’ in your lyrics. Will you usually advice yourself?

YH: I’ll tell myself ‘I’m the best on stage’. It’s my personal chant. For example, even if I couldn’t perform 100% well due to my injury but I’ll do my best. I think the best thing about being on stage is that I can express myself directly through the stage. On such a place where I can express myself, I’ll often tell myself ‘I’m the best’ ‘I’m not going to lose to anyone’, so that I wouldn’t give in to my emotions.

----You say ‘The stage is the only place where I can truly express myself’ often, huh?
YH: That’s right. Therefore, my expression changes on stage

-----After the stage has ended, will it change back to its original state?

YH: As I say ‘Ah ah~ It has ended~’, I’ll feel really relaxed~, and I’ll have a relaxed expression

----When did you start thinking ‘I’m the best’ on stage?

YH: Ever since I was a trainee, when I started rapping. I had such a mindset then.

----After it ends, there’ll be times where you feel ‘Good, that was well done!’ and ‘That wasn’t very good’. So will you reflect and look back at such times?

YH: Of course I’ll reflect: ‘What mistakes did I make today?’ but I wouldn’t regret it. You can only be on stage for that instant, and everything ends on stage. Of course, although I’ll reflect upon it, but that’s so that I can perform better next time

[NO?]

----A question we came up with looking at the title of the song [NO?] As an artiste, what will you not compromise with?
YH: I wouldn’t compromise with singing or dancing. Of course, for things like singing parts, it’d be best if someone who’s more suited for it sing it; but as for my own parts, I’ll have to be focused and express that part well. That’s something I won’t compromise with.

----So you wouldn’t compromise with your unique method of expressing yourself (through song or dance)?
YH: Yeah. I tend to put my emotions in front when singing. Of course, there’s also the scale, but the scale is something Junsu’s extremely good at. I’ll sing knowing that I’m not going to lose to anyone. For example, songs like [I’ll Be There] and [Miss You], I’ll think about how I’m going to express my feelings while singing. It’s a big step towards maturity to me.

[Opposite effect]

----There’s a line in your lyrics that say ‘opposite effect’. Have you ever had such an experience?

YH: There are quite a few of them. Being the leader has its good and bad points. Sometimes, even though I think ‘I can forgive him’, but because I’m the leader, I have to be strict with them. Of course, everyone understands and knows how I really feel, but in the beginning, there were some misunderstandings. I’ve always revealed how I really feel inside after being strict with them ‘It’s okay, don’t worry about it’. I think revealing how I really feel helps deepen my relationship with the members.

---Being the leader must be really tough

YH: Yeah…..*laughs* Sometimes I really hate it

----Actually, you’re not the leader type, but someone who’s rather childish, right?
YH: That’s actually true, completely true *laughs* I’m like a little kid. However, since I’m already the leader, so I’d have to do well to be a real man. Therefore, I’ll work hard

[Misunderstanding]

-----Next is a question from the word ‘misunderstanding’ from your song. Do you get misunderstood often?

YH: Yeah. I mentioned something similar previously. When discussing the group formation for the dance choreography with the members, there was some misunderstanding in the beginning, where they said ‘Isn’t this a formation where Yunho can be easily seen?’ Actually, I just told the staffs to make sure that the group formation can be clearly seen, I just said that…..I didn’t explain myself then. After a year or so, I finally told them how I really felt then, and everyone had a deeper understanding of each other.

----Time is needed for true communication to be achieved within a group.

YH: That’s right. In the beginning, the atmosphere was good. Everyone thought the atmosphere was good, and enjoyed themselves freely. However, they would have an opinion about something within their heart. It took about a year before we could freely express our ideas and share our opinions. Only after that did we become a true group

[Angel]

-----‘Angel’ from the song [Last Angel]. What kind of image does the word ‘angel’ give you?

YH: Speaking of ‘angel’, it’s filled with the pureness of the human heart. Also, ‘angel’ is a starting point and ‘devil’ is the end point. Devils have a black image. Yet angels and devils are one, because I think everyone has an angel and a devil within them

[Darkness]

----There’s a song called [Darkness Eyes]. Are you afraid of the dark?
YH: I’m used to it. I’m fine with total darkness. I’m fine with everything except ghosts/spirits *laughs* However, if there’s a mirror beside me in pitch darkness, I’d feel pretty uncomfortable. For some reason, I really have this thing about mirrors. If there’s a mirror beside me in the hotel or somewhere similar, I’d sleep facing the other side.

-----What will you be thinking when the lights on stage start to dim?

YH: When the lights dim…Firstly, I’ll do my chant in the beginning when the lights start dimming, saying ‘I’m the best’. When the lights dim again after everything has ended, towards the end, I wouldn’t go ‘It’s finished~~’, but I’d be smiling in my heart. Whether I did well or not doesn’t matter, I’d just smile inside thinking ‘I feel so blessed!’. Of course there’ll be times where I do badly, but I’ll still feel blessed. The stage seems like a place where I can smile to the fullest

Anyways .. toen ik dit voor het eerst las begon ik steeds meer respect te krijgen voor Yunho.. ik denk ook dat hij de geschikte persoon is als Leader van DBSK ^^ DBSK had een andere uitstraling gekregen als iemand anders de leader was geweest =)
