L and the Manga Investigation, part I

L, we need your help! I’ll tell you everything. Three years ago the body a woman was found in Rotterdam. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition and smelled terrible. Dental records determined it was Anne ter Riet, a girl that went missing ten days earlier. The state of decomposition made it impossible to determine the cause of death but no deep cuts were found. We have three suspects but we haven’t been able to point out anyone of them as the killer. I’m sure you’ve already heard about the story in the news as it was broadcasted nation wide. I’ll send you everything we have. It’s a lot.

Police reports

Several complaints throughout the two weeks after the disappearance of Anne that a strong stench came from Hunter’s Alley in Rotterdam.

Investigating officers checking the spot immediately recognized the smell as that of a decaying body and alerted forensics.

Crime Scene Forensics

Victim: Young female of Asian decent in advanced state of decomposition. No wounds apparent on the victims skin due to decay.

Victim lies in a lying down position with her arms and hand beside her body. She wears a tainted white T-shirt reading: “Men, we cant live with them, we can’t live without them” a short skirt, a pair of colourful shoes of the brand “Pucca” and a purse of the same brand. There are no signs of rape or violence. The surrounding area revealed no additional trace material.

Location: Not far from the victims house in a small wooded area along a canal.

Victimology

Name: Anne ter Riet
Age: 22
Place of Residence: Rijswijk/Rotterdam

Family: Lives with adoptive father in Rijswijk.
Friends: Manga/Anime club members (see details about this in section: Manga circle)

Background: Very intelligent girl attending university. Wanted to become a professional sketch artist. Has a great interest in Manga, Anime, C(r)osplay (re-enactment of Manga and Anime) and is a one of the founding fathers of a nation wide Manga circle. Friends and family describe her a living in her own world of fantasy. She likes to isolate herself with her drawings and Manga related friends. She frequently visits them where they watch Japanese movies and play video games until early in the morning. Art belonging to her is frequently seen as controversial and slightly erotic in nature.

Manga circle:
A group of 12 people appear in this select circle of Manga enthusiasts. They decided to link up and create a Manga circle nation wide. One of them is a suspect in this case.

Events leading to the victim’s death:
On the 11th of July 2005 the victim enters a train at Enschede CS destined to Amersfoort. According to train schedule the next rain she had to take in Amersfoort to Rotterdam/Rijswijk departed on track 4 at 9:27PM. Since her boyfriend saw her off in Enschede, no one has ever seen her alive again.

The police tried several attempts to raise witnesses who saw Anne in the train. The train took her right across the entire country. However someone has yet to step forward that saw her on either the train from Enschede to Amersfoort of from Amersfoort to Rijswijk. The police launched a SMS mass bombing campaign, sending an instant message to every cell phone that was at the station at the time. This yielded nothing.

Anne was seen in a grocery store in Enschede that day at 5:54PM wearing different clothes then she wore when she was found dead.

Missing objects
Anne was said to be in the possession of an Acer Notebook and a cell phone, both are missing.

Suspects

1: The Jogger

A man in his forties claimed to have seen Anne at the Hunter’s Ally in a dark coloured car talking to a man.

2: The Boyfriend

The boyfriend, of Chinese decent, that had said to have seen her off at the station. His alibi was checked by MSN log files found on his computer indicating that he went home and talked to a friend afterward.

3: The Father

The father mentioned it was a pity that she wasn’t found in the water but on land.

Ik denk niet dat dit echt gepast is, aangezien er ook mensen zijn op dit forum die haar echt gekend hebben..

In een onderzoek moet gepastheid plaats maken voor koude logica. Denk L.

P.S. De enige reden waarom dit onderzoek nog vast zit is omdat men zich laat leiden door emotie, niet door logica.

Denk je nu zomaar even een echte moord op te kunnen lossen?

Voor het vertellen van de waarheid? Ik kreeg zulke opmerkingen niet in mijn vorige verhaal, ook daar had ik de meeste moorden direct overgenomen van echte moorden met slechts andere namen. Probeer mij bovendien niets te vertellen over respect, het is tijd dat zaken zoals deze weer publiciteit krijgen en in een nieuw licht worden gezet. Gemakkelijk de ongewenste waarheid vergeten omdat het aanstoot geeft, dat is waarlijk een teken van gebrek aan respect, ook jou woordkeuze is dat. Al laatste wou ik even kwijt dat smaak een kwestie van persoon is en is niet aan jou om te oordelen.



Wat komt dat komt, dat komt pas in de conclusie. Voor nu; beantwoord de eerste vraag, wie is in dit geval de beste hoofdverdachte? Je hebt tot Woensdag.

wat maakt het nou uit, in deze wereld gebeurt dit elke dag. Als zaken onopgelost blijven, weet je wel hoeveel angst er bij haar familie/vrienden op kan komen. Zelfs al kan seigu het niet oplossen, zelfs al is het respectloos, in de naam van gerechtigheid moet men soms keihard zijn en hun emoties aan de kant zetten. Ik heb niet alles gelezen, maar ik heb het gescand, het zag er goed uit. Ik heb zelf dit niet gevolgd, maar ik vind dat het een goed idee van seigu.
