Ik ben net weer een halfe dag thuis van een &%#$ (piep piep piep) terug reis van abunai naar Oldenzaal (Enschede). Maarja, daar kan de staff natuurlijk niks aan doen, ik had gewoon een hotelkamer moeten vinden...

Ik ben aleen zaterdag geweest, het wat tevens mijn eerste con, en ik vond het echt hardstike vet, echt heel cool.
De cloakroom werd ook zeer goed geregeld. Volgens mij was iedereen van de staff wel op aan het eind van de dag
Dit is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar bij mij. Alleen ga ik wat meer geld sparen voor animecon 2011, dat gaat echt wreed worden


Ik had geen cosplay (iets wat met animecon 2011 waarschijnlijk ook veranderd), ik was die gast met krulhaar en een Berserk t-shirt (vast wel eens tegen gekomen .

Ik was er zaterdag en m'n indruk was over het algemeen goed. Het was m'n eerste Abunai en vond het best meevallen. Ik was met de auto en het was nog even tricky om er te komen (m'n Garmin was niet helemaal up to date en reed verkeerd bij knooppunt Batadorp dat pas vernieuwd is).
Eenmaal aangekomen (ik was vrij vroeg) kon ik meteen naar binnen lopen om het bandje te laten omdoen (vastgeklonken met een loodje; leverworst anyone?). Dat is een goed voorbeeld voor andere cons die bijvoorbeeld in de winter worden gehouden (mits de ontvangstruimte het toelaat). Ik had zelf een plattegrondje uitgeprint, maar gelukkig kreeg je een beter exemplaar wat best wel nodig was om alles te kunnen vinden. Het was een behoorlijk doolhof! Gelukkig had ik m'n langeafstandswandelschoenen aan...
Toen het tijd was om de dealerroom open te gooien kwam men erachter dat de deur op slot zat (wat niet had moeten zijn) en men kon de sleutel niet 1,2,3 vinden. Met wat vertraging kwam die wel overigens.
De dealerroom was behoorlijk groot en met veel koopwaar (wat best wel fijn was, maar het maakte het ook moeilijker om te beslissen); er waren in ieder geval geen taferelen van krappe rijen met schuifelende massa's. Eigenlijk kon hij wel wat verkleind worden; sommige stands stonden zo ver van elkaar af dat ze zich in verschillende tijdszones bevonden...
Het videoprogramma in de 2 zalen zag er goed uit, alleen vond ik dat het geluid iets harder had gekund; als je in het midden zat kon je het slecht verstaan.
De prijzen in het food court waren vrij fors te noemen; €3 voor een niet groot broodje is aardig aan de prijs en €6 voor een halfvol kartonnen doosje is ook niet goedkoop.
Het maidcafe heb ik helaas niet kunnen proberen: of het was vol of er stond een behoorlijke rij of ze waren gesloten.
Alle voors en tegens in ogenschouw genomen was het een leuke dag met soms wat wonderlijke, maar ook zeer geslaagde cosplayers (zoals Suiseiseki compleet met rood en groen oog). Het was alleen een behoorlijk eind rijden en omdat ik meestal vroeg naar bed ga was ik nogal vermoeid onderweg. Gelukkig heb ik wat spullen bij de bring&buy kunnen verkopen en he ik zelf ook enkele dingen gekocht. Al met al dus een geslaagde dag!

Ben alleen zaterdag geweest maar was echt wel top

m'n eerste conventie en meteen cosplayed, Zou Roy mustang uit FMA moeten hebben voorgesteld, maar door wat krappe tijd zijn de handschoenen niet klaar geraakt en was ie dus minder herkenbaar.

Heb mee Harmonia gezongen in de karaoke.

Wel jammer dat we niet goe dop het plannetje/boekje hadden gekeken, hebben nu veel tijd verdaan met zitten en de veel geld opgedaan in de dealer room xD

Volgend jaar weer, hopelijk kan ik dan de 3dagen doen !

En ja, het was een A-MAZE-ING (thnx for the joke Fhant), maar het was het 100% waard.

En ik had met mijn groep geen last van de dure prijzen, wij hadden zelf eten meegenomen

Deze abunai was absoluut de beste in jaren!

Van het begin tot het einde (wat voor ons zaterdagavond 23.30 uur was), was het één groot feestje. Er was zo ontzettend veel moois te zien en te doen, dat je wel de hele tijd gave zooi móest missen omdat je zelf bij nog leukere evenementen aanwezig was. Echte hoogtepunten heb ik niet, omdat alles doorlopend leuk was: de lezingen van de Japanse mevrouw, de kimono-show, cosplay-show, dealerroom zónder rij, projectorgamen, de gelaten sfeer in het hotel, urban games (waaraan ik helaas niet mee kon doen dit jaar, maar er is altijd een volgende keer!).

Door de ruime opzet had je ook nooit het gevoel dat het te druk was, terwijl er toch mooi 2000 mensen kwamen het weekend. Een prachtige locatie waar Abunai wat mij betreft mag blijven tot het opnieuw uit zijn voegen barst. Heel sfeervol, ja echt fijn.

Inhoudelijke feedback zal ik later nog posten, effe bijkomen hoor.

net thuis gekomen en nu al heimee, ik heb ontzettend genoten van dit weekend!
De locatie was echt heel gaaf (ookal ben ik meerdere malen verdwaald geraakt :'D), ik heb heerlijk geslapen in het hotel en het ontbijt was ook heel lekker, ik wou ook nog gaan zwemmen maar daar ben ik helaas niet meer aan toe gekomen. Ik heb gave spullen gekocht, veel fotoshoots gehad en gisteren als een idioot staan dansen bij die disco :'D

Ik heb dit jaar voor het eerst meegedaan aan de cosplay fashion show, ik vond het erg spannend, ik was ontzettend zenuwachtig toen ik op moest ._. ik was zo bang dat ik iets stom zou gaan doen, zoals struikelen over m'n jas ofzo, maar dat is me gelukkig bespaard gebleven C; ik ben achteraf blij dat ik heb meegedaan, ik vond het wel gaaf toen ik daar stond moet ik zeggen :'D het voelt alsof al je harde werk dat je in je cosplay hebt gestoken niet voor niets is geweest.

Ik deed mee als Allen Walker, ik was de laatste deelnemer. verder heb ik nog Kagamine Rin (Synchronicity versie) gecosplayed (samen met m'n Len c: ) op zaterdag. ik zou ook nog Marik gaan cosplayen, maar dat is er helaas niet van gekomen. D;

volgend jaar ga ik zeker weer!

Same, behalve dan dat ik niet gecosplayd was. xD
In de dealerroom heb ik twee Gundammodellen (Sinanju en Reborns Gundam Trans-AM) gekocht. We zaten wel vaak te niksen en mijn con is toch wat verpest omdat mijn vriendin voor Abunai besloten had om er een punt achter te zetten, maar dit zei ze pas na de con om het weekend niet te verpesten voor me. Dat hielp natuurlijk geen moer omdat ik in de mot had dat er wat mis was.

Regardless, hopelijk kan ik volgend jaar terugkomen.

Ik vond de prijzen ook best erg, gelukkig had ik eten mee genomen, maar het was net niet genoeg, dus moest ik er een half bakje bami bij nemen. Echt, dat die gasten zich niet dood schaamden, eten recht voor de neus van de klant in de microwave dumpen...

Ik vond het alleen jammer dat het maid cafe s'avonds gesloten was, daar had ik in de late uurtjes nog wel even willen zitten

Het was mijn allereerste Abunai! en ik kom zeker nog een keer terug. Heb het echt naar mijn zin gehad. <3


Pluspunten vond ik:
- De grootte van de Dealerroom. Die was lekker ruim en genoeg plaats om rond te rennen en foto's te maken van cosplayers (wat ik vooral deed :D).
- Main Stage was groot en zowat iedereen paste in de zaal.
- Er was genoeg ruimte voor iedereen om je met je groepje ergens terug te trekken en wat lol te maken. Plaats genoeg.
- Heel veel leuke cosplay gezien. Echt een breed aanbod voor het oog.

Minpunten:
- Iemand had het al gezegd, maar de dealers aan de kopse kanten zaten er maar een beetje bij omdat ze wat afgezonderd van de rest zaten. Ik vond zelf dat er veel leuke kraampjes tussenzaten, maar dat er te veel ruimte tussen die kraampjes inzat. Daardoor voelde het een beetje... kaal aan, dat was jammer.
- Dat hotel, is een doolhof. Toen we vrijdag eindelijk binnen waren liepen we de gangen in bij ikweetnietwaar, waar we het eerste halfuur ook echt niet meer wegkwamen.
Dat kan dan wel aan onze stommiteit gelegen hebben, prettig was het niet.
- Je moest de Cloak Room door om de rest van het hotel met evenementen etc. te kunnen zien. De meesten hadden dat wel door, maar je moet maar weten dat je een paar hoekjes om moet voor je verder kunt. Ik vond het persoonlijk echter niet het grootste minpunt.
- De prijzen voor het eten. Die waren torenhoog. Ik ga in het vervolg absoluut geen 6 euro meer uitgeven voor een vierkant kartonnetje, gevuld met een vage bami i.p.v. noedels die maar voor de helft gevuld zit. De friet van 3 euro ging dan nog, hoewel die vrijdag volgens mij anders geprijsd was.
- Het aantal tafeltjes met stoelen in de Food Court kwam niet boven de 20 volgens mij. Even goed nadenken, met z'n hoevelen ben je wel niet op zo'n con? Hoeveel mensen moeten daar 's avonds en op andere tijdstippen wel niet eten? Dan mogen er van mij wel wat tafels en stoelen bij.


Verder dan dit kom ik even niet. Mijn hersenen staken voort.
Nu lijkt het misschien alsof ik het niet naar mijn zin heb gehad, maar ik zou zo weer terug willen. Minpunten of niet, het was gezellig, en daar ging het voor mij om. 8D

Ik ben vet moe van mijn weekendje Abunai... *gaapt* Maar heb zeker genoten!

Ik was er als mijn OC Galantha op Vrijdag (lange gast van 2 meter met zwarte make up, zwart/witte kleding aan, zwarte Demonia's van 15 CM en gele contactlenzen)

En Gintoki Sakata (Gintama)/Duke Pantarei(Tales of Vesperia) op zaterdag en zondag. De cosplay shoot met Judith en Raven was leuk, ben benieuwd naar de foto's!

Heb weer oude vrienden gezien, leuke nieuwe mensen ontmoet, dealerroom geraid, wat mensjes van kant gemaakt met Super Street Fighter IV... (helaas niet tijdens de compo) Geslaagd dus!

++++Hier mijn pluspuntjes:++++

+ Ruime en grote locatie, dus van warmte was er vrijwel geen sprake
+ Ruime Dealerroom
+ Grote mainstage
+ Mooie locaties buiten voor cosplay photoshoots
+ Door de grote garderobe en vele gophers daar kon je snel aan en van je spullen af komen.

-----Minpuntjes-----

- Alhoewel de ruimte van de Food Court groot was, was er verrassend weinig plek om te zitten aan een tafeltje. Ik zag op het gegeven moment hele volksstammen zitten op de grond.
- Food Court was duur, but I guess it beats traveling all the way back to Eindhoven CS voor eten...
- Ik was een campinggast, en miste echt de pendelbussen en geregelde camping van vorig jaar. S'avonds om 12 uur nog naar camping moeten lopen zoeken op een plek waar je de weg niet kent, geen succes.
- Iets te grote dealerroom?
- Locatie was wel erg groot, ik heb een aantal dingen zoals bijv. Manga Kissa niet gezien dit jaar.

Ik kan niets zeggen over het hotel, hehe.

First things i want to comment;

. Godd--n what a huge ass location, SO much bigger as last year.
. A little disappointed because i missed some things they had last year, like Pocky, and other candy's and the BJD stuff etc.
. I thought it was a bit un-social, like, everyone where in groups of people they knew, i think the friday afternoon and evening where the most fun...but maybe thats just the new location and stuff...i dunnow, though, i'm gonna come next year again~!
. A bit sad about the fact that i actually put effort in my outfit and no-one really wanted on a photo with me or said something T3T Accept for my friends of course....

FRIDAY; 08.30 t/m 04.00 (next morning)

Alright, so, i was all hyper because i was going to Abunai, got up earlier because i had to do my make-up and hair, check if i had packed everything and all that stuff, took me longer then i thought O.o But maybe that was just because i was just awake...ehm, we didn't even had time to eat anymore.The sad part was, the weather really SUCKED, it was raining so i also had to drag an umbrella with me.We went to get something to drink and nom at the supermarket close to the station...

In the train we where like all exited and curious about the location and the other people and of course the hotel where we would stay.Ehm, because the wind screwed up my hair and my lip gloss got of because of the wind who blew my hair over it all the time and it kept sticking to it, i wanted to do it again.Andy got changed into his costume at that moment, and i was searching and then i figured out that i forgot my make-up bag and lenses .______________. Just great...so there goes my money, the first thing i bought ; New make-up, jolly goodness.Cost me over 20 euro for 5 things D= While i spend less then 15 on all the crap i first had! And it was the cheapest at the stations shop.Grumble...ah well, anyway, before we actually got on the station our train had 10 minutes/15 minutes delay...gha, there was another SLOWER train in front of us who sort of didn't do what should have happened so we still could be in time O.o But whatever, when we got at the station, we bought my make-up and then went for the buss.We really had NO idea which one we should have had, but thanks to a very tall young-man who was looking like Cloud we found it.(THANK YOU, if you ever read this) The other one, probably a friend of him, was familiar and sounded that way as well.It seemed, he was the Joker of last year...which, to be honest, in my eyes, suited him better.Ah well...the buss was STUFFED..

When we got there we where like O-----O Because there was already a big line, we first went to the hotel entrance because on the forum they had said that we should check-in and dump our bags first, because they didn't want us to go straight through the building from the Abunai to the hotel, but it seemed they had changed their mind.We thought we where early but it seemed more people had gotten that idea.We had to wait an hour outside before we could get in, it was really really really cold at some point.A lot of people where happy when FINALLY the doors opened and we could go inside.It really seemed to take ages before we finally could walk around, because the line for the hotel was pretty long to.

We really had a nice room though, it looked smaller on the small introduction movie we saw, but i'm not complaining.Ehmm...after that, i kinda forgot to write everything down so i'm not sure anymore what stuff we did anymore...tehehe...i'm gonna try as good as i can.We got a schedule, map and conbook with information and stuff.I navigated most of the time because i seemed to find it easily O.o Not a tom-tom but a ka-ka ( A ) Yeah, not funny...(Just looked at the schedule again) We didn't really do anything accept for wandering around, finding our way around, watch other cosplayers and what they where doing, made some photo's as well.Ehmm, the boys played a few game competition though (I was there together with my bf, best friend and another good friend) Blazzblue aaannddd T vs. C (I don't remember where the letters are standing for). Ow, we also met up with some people that day, Nil180 and her friend, they where a pink and blue Stitch so they weren't hard to miss.She wanted to help me with the lenses, though, i forgot those so that was not the case D= We ran into them a few times that day.Ehhmmm...at the end there was this 'Deshima Sounds Disco' and i was like...naahhhhh, but Andy, err, Amber got forced by the Stitches, and he wanted me to come and the other two just tagged along because it was fun.Since we where up early and traveled a lot and crap we grabbed a few beers as well.We had a LOT of fun though and met a lot more people, there was this really nice guy who was in a wheel chair, i forgot his name D=, and some more people.Though, i recognize faces and forget most of the names...SORRY...lolz...ehmm, i could barely stand on my feet at like 03.30 because i was REALLY tired...i stood against Dion and i almost fell asleep like that...so we went to bed.Andy and Ebe went with Vash (person of Trigun, don't remember his reall name) outside and i got called like half an hour later if i knew where Ebe went and i was like...almost asleep so i was like 'whut, you lost him or something'.Next day i heard what happened so it all got a bit more clear...

SATURDAY; 08.30 t/m 02.30 (next morning, again)

We thought, we could get up a bit earlier so we can do a lot of things, or at least, there was this one thing pretty early that i really wanted to do because last year it was just to busy and i couldn't join T3T Ehmmm...alright, so we got up, showered...went with our sleepy heads downstairs and tried to find where breakfast was.We first went outside because my bf had to smoke, duh, and we met this really nice Gopper, talked a bit and she pointed the way for us (Sorry, again, forgot the name).I called the other two to ask where they where and if they came to eat, but Andy was not feeling well that morning D= But Ebe did show up, because Andy hadn't had breakfast yet we thought we could bring bread or something, but we weren't allowed.It was SO niice, fresh bread, yoghurt, fruit, milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, and many many more things.After breakfast we looked at the schedule and looked what we could do..I managed to change in half an hour into my dress and do my make-up O.o

First thing we did (apparently it was already around 10 or whatever then) was the Maneki Neko Workshop, i texted with Andy underneath it to see if he felt better, though my connection for my phone really SUCKED in the building at some points (So i went outside, because that seemed to work, and when i wanted to get back inside...the frkn doors wouldn't open so i called one of the other two to open it).I made a cute little Neko, white, with black ears and tail, button eyes and little colored fabric thingies...like a doll, sort of...and a bell around its neck.My bf made a zombie cat, all green, with a little gloomy bear i tried to made out of boredomm and Ebe made a white cat with tophat and scarf.It was amazing to do, i thought it was fun.

The other day, friday, we went to eat inside the hotel...we thought, because they had said the prices where better as last year, it wouldn't cost much..for the little bit we had...it was WAY to much so we decided not to buy any kind of food or drink inside the hotel again.After the BJD Lecture, we went there right after the Maneki Neko Workshop, we went to the bus stop (picture me and Andy all dressed up and the other two with accesory and crap, like chans, buttons etc), went with the bus to the centrum of Veldhoven, went into the Albert Hein to shop for food and drinks like it was our daily thing and went back again (All that, we actually made that happen in an half hour...we thought it would take WAY longer).The looks on some peoples faces, priceless.After eating and drinking back at the hotel, me and Andy went on a photo-spree, there where WAY more people then the day before so that was pretty fun.Most amazing costumes, i wanted to make more photo's but some people didn't hear me or just ignored me...that would be really bitchy.It was some sort of a break for everything then, so we found something to do, make photo's~ I also managed to get some of the few BJD's who where there on a photo.Such amazing looking things <3 I really raelly really would like one...but their soooo expensive T3T Or you should make one yourself, still expensive probably...ehmm, we, of course, like the day before.Also went into the Dealer Room, or to put it short..Buy Stuff! To see what i bought (it was such a HUGE room), you really should look at my photo's...

After that break, when everything started again, we went to Evil Janken-Pon, thats a japanese rock-paper-sizzor game.When you have a mistake, you have to cover your head as quickly as you can because the other will hit you with some sort of paper fan, but then folded and not open (i hope you get the mental image right, i got some video's of it) For fun one of the Goppers put a sticker on the nose of my bf's plushie (Yoshi, from Mario) and made them fight eachother x'3 Anyway, i just watched because i got way to tired and annoyed with the pain in my feet and legs..Ebe didn't want to join anymore right before it started.He didn't really join much, or do much, to bad...though i still hope everybody had fun!

After Janken-pon (i left earlier because my clothes where being really annoying, had to change), we went to papercraft for beginners, i made a little doggie of paper =3 I actually managed to make it in an hour! Andy had a huge headed Vegeta and Dion had a little dragon, they couldn't finish it because we left halfway for another Workshop, ehm Ebe made some sort of strange Octopus thingie with the text 'the dirty cream' on its back >.> ... <.< But it was fun to do! We went to the manga workshop, i became really hungry and my medicine kicked in so my hands became all shaky which makes it difficult to draw..but i tried! I really really really really really wanted an AniWay sketchbook T3T But they stopped right before my table! Andy did got one, the meanie didn't want to trade T3T I drew a chibi for one of the Goppers who gave the Workshop, and she was so happy with it O.o I didn't think it was that good, but i was really glad i could make someone happy with it =) I still got the sketchblock with my doodles in it, but i didn't make any photo's of those...when that ended it was 23.00, 23.30, so we decided to go get something to eat and then went to look around again.We made a few more photo's, went to look at the 'Anime Disco' they had that day (stopped at 02.00), but we didn't really thought it was that fun..like the day before, Ebe and Dion gamed a bit...we walked around more...and then we got really tired and sick of it and went to sleep, i really...was...SO tired, i don't even remember getting back to my room...O.o

SUNDAY ; 08.00 t/m (somewhere around 11/12)

We thought, we would get up a little earlier so we can check-out with the hotel on time (it seemed we had to move our butt out of the rooms before 12), so we showered, and right when i just dried my hands and wanted to get into my clothes, Andy called and told us breakfast would end sooner, also because we had to get out of the hotels at 12 so breakfast would stop earlier to.Se we hurried ourselves and went to eat something, after that, we went back to our room.Packed our stuff, checked if we had everything and cleaned up the room as good as we could (they prob are going to hate us for the blue stains on the bed...though, thats not from my hair!).We went to check out and then towards the garderobe to dump our stuff.We kinda got really bored very quickly because there wasn't much fun things to do, Japanese lesson would have been fun but the others didn't want to go.Sooo, we walked around, made a few more pictures, walked thruogh the Dealer room once more and then we decided we all got a bit tired of all the walking, standing and doing nothing D= So somewhere between 11 and 12, we went to get our stuff again and went to the bus.The bus was actually early...O.o When we got on the station and to the right side of the station, and got our train.

On our way back home, here comes the fun stuff (not) our train got stuck in traffic...and not because of cars...no, because of other trains.We seriously got in a traffic jam with trains >.> There was some sort of .. of .. i don't know how to really call it, but the power was sucky, the intercom stopped working sometimes in the middle of the explanation and all of that.We managed to get half an hour later on the station then we should, nearly made it to our other train (which had 10 minutes delay, woooooo, hurried for nothing) and went to our next stop.Because that train was late, we missed our next one and had to wait for 45 minutes for the next one.Because we really had to pee we went to the closest Mac we cuold find, also bought something to nom and drink and went back for our other train.(I actually managed to trip like...6 times, drop a lot of things and all that...gah...bad luck) It rained badly when we went back, i couldn't hold the umbrella so i closed it just in time and gave it to my bf.Ehmmm...when we got back, and made it to our train, we where sort of happy and unhappy we where going back home...ah well, thats not raelly important or interesting.It was fun in the train with the four of us, talked a bit, drew a bit, listened to music, yadayada...

Got home at 19.00. or a bit later because we had to walk home, GOD i was so happy i was home after 20 minutes because my legs got really tired of walking and standing all weekend (was worth it though) and sit down.Daaammmnn...and we where thinking we could get home a bit early, it originally would stop at 5....and we originally would travel 3 and half hour...teh, yeah right, not today.Showed my stuff to my mom and my brother didn't really care...aannddd, started to clean up my bags and stuff, and then got behind the computer to type and upload pictures. =3 Soo...go look in my photo's for the pictures if your curious about some cosplays, outfits and what i bought~

Btw ligt het nou aan mij of zag ik die ene stalker van Animecon 2010 hier ook rondlopen? Wist niet zeker of het dezelfde gast was maar leek er wel verdacht veel op.

Vrijdag avond waren we open tot 9 uur, maar Zaterdag waren we rond 6 uur al helemaal uitverkocht sorry >:

&voor nu ben ik even iets te moe om nog meer te posten over de conventie. Maar dat komt denk ik nog wel. Ik was in ieder geval op Vrijdag als een OC, Zaterdag als Hope Estheim maar in de avond als Brera Sterne (Casual) en Zondag ook als Brera Sterne maar dan in zijn pak die me toch een beetje te warm was halverwege de dag dus had ik me maar weer omgekleed naar casual Brera. x]

Ik zag bij de dealerroom vlak naast de Tsunacon stand vandaag een jiji kat van kiki's delivery service, en ik weet niet of het waar is maar volgens mij was hij van een jongen die naast de Tsunacon stand zat te tekenen en tegen mij zei dat jiji gaaf was xD

En inderdaad de airco's konden met dit weer in de gang wel uit ^^' had een niet al te warme cosplay aan en in de gang was het best koud! >.<
