Messenger 2009

So, a lot of people probably have upgraded to Messenger 2009 already. I myself used this back when it was still in BETA. I quite like the version, it’s a bit cleaner and less stupid things.
Though.. One moment in the beta I suddenly couldn’t log in with the message that the service was down. I thought perhaps the BETA ended so I reverted back to an old version that worked. Still, other people actually could still use it. I just blamed the new version not working and lived on.
Now I actually wanted to try the version again, perhaps it fixed. Nope it didn’t. I still have the error. Then I tried logging in with another account. Jollymolly’s, it worked. So it was based on my main account. I removed some files (to be exact, the directory C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts\). It’s a directory containing 2 empty ones, but if you check the data it’s actually 60 MB (for me) with 10 files and 6 directory’s. Right. I removed them and.. as expected, I could log in, only to be kicked off after some time. I currently think it might be some user in my list perhaps screwing up, but it’s annoying as hell.
Guess I’ll have to wait on MicroSoft’s explanaition.
